ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that he was personally saddened by what happened in the National Assembly. Everyone has the right to protest, but the tradition of rioting must end.
The Prime Minister chaired an emergency consultative meeting to introduce a culture of tolerance in politics in which Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood, Federal Minister Asad Umar, Amir Dogar and coalition ministers Fehmida Mirza, Aminul Haq and other party Leaders attended. Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser was specially invited to the meeting.
A high level meeting chaired by the Prime Minister discussed the strategy for improving the environment during the budget session and decided to introduce new rules and regulations in the House. The Prime Minister directed that new rules and regulations be prepared in consultation for a conducive environment in Parliament.
