ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has lambasted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan for ‘maligning and threatening’ Pakistan Army.
Taking to Twitter, PM Shehbaz said that Imran Khan’s act of ‘routinely maligning and threatening Pakistan Army and Intelligence Agency’ for the sake of petty political gains was highly condemnable.
“Imran’s leveling of allegations without any proof against Gen Faisal Naseer and officers of our Intelligence Agency cannot be allowed and will not be tolerated,” he noted.

Meanwhile, Asif Ali Zardari – in a separate statement – a politician has crossed all limits of ‘defaming institutions’, adding that such actions will not be tolerated. “After the recent statement, no Pakistani can even think of following the foreign agent,” he added.
The former president said that they will not allow anyone to ‘destroy our country’, adding that allegations against ‘Pakistan Army officers were tantamount to launching attack on entire institutions’.
