LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and the former premier Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday said that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) led federal government is registering fake cases against our party leaders.
Talking to media outside the residence of detained PML-N leader Rana Sana Ullah he said that the recent orders of Islamabad High Court (IHC) against Accountability Court’s judge Arshad Malik have endorsed our narrative that our leaders are being dragged into fake cases.
Shahid Khaqan said, “A fake case has also been registered against the former Punjab law minister for being vocal against the government.”
“Every kid of the country knows that the case against Rana Sana Ullah was fake,” he added.
“The nature of the case against former premier and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif has been exposed before the nation and its now a test for country’s judiciary that how they deal the matter as we [PML-N] have always respected the courts,” he further added.
“There is no point to trust the verdicts of such courts as who knows that every judge of the country is being blackmailed,” insisted Khaqan.
“Our leaders are being barred to give interviews on TV channels on the directives of PM Imran Khan,” told Khaqan.
Commenting on the nomination of Mir Hasil Bizenjo he said, “He is one of the most trusted names in the Senate.”
“If any of our members will vote for the other side that will endorse the defeat of PM Imran Khan,” he concluded.
