PML-N Leaders Meet Nawaz, Maryam In Jail

Rawalpindi (September  06, 2018): Senior Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders and Sharif family members met incarcerated former premier Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and son-in-law Captain (retd) Safdar in Adyala Jail on Thursday.

Thursday has been allotted by jail authorities as the day for visitors seeking to meet Nawaz, Maryam and Capt (retd) Safdar. However, visitors are not allowed after 4pm.

Khawaja Asif, Tariq Fatemi, Javed Hashmi, Daniyal Aziz, Rana Afzal and Khurram Dastgir were among PML-N leaders who met the former premier in prison today.

Nawaz and Maryam are currently serving their prison terms at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi after the former premier was sentenced to a total of 11 years in prison while his daughter was sentenced to eight years in a corruption reference in July.Meeting Day With Sharif Family In Adyala Jail Today Earlier on August 23, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, who are serving jail term after being found guilty in Avenfields apartment case are not allowed to continue their meetings scheduled.

It was a meetings day for Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz and Capt (R) Safdar in Adyala Jail . PML-N leaders were scheduled to meet with Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz in Adiala Jail. However, according to jail authorities, due to Eid holidays in jail their meeting is not possible.

According to jail authorities, their meeting is not being permitted due to Eid holidays in jail. On August 22 , Shehbaz Sharif and other family members met former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz in Adiala jail.

Shehbaz Sharif, was accompanied by his mother, sons and other family members to meet father-daughter duo on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha. Earlier, IHC put off its judgement over the appeals to suspend the conviction of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam Nawaz and captain (retd) Safdar.The trio is now spending Eid-ul-Azha in Adiala Jail as the verdict will now be announced after Eid holidays.
