PML-N Wont Boycott Polls: Shahid Khaqan Abbasi

Islamabad(July 04, 2018): PML-N leader and Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz would not boycott the upcoming general elections.

In a statement issued from Islamabad, he said, we will not be a part of any conspiracy which may worsen the situation in the country with negative impacts on the national economy.Khaqan Abbasi suggested that the Accountability Court should give its verdict in the Avenfield case after the general elections.

Earlier, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif rehashed rhetoric of pre-poll rigging plot in the forthcoming elections and vowed PML-N will Never Stage boycott of the election.

“Those plotting for premeditated rigging in the forthcoming polls are living in an illusion. We are noting even trivial developments”, warned Sharif while talking to media outside Harley hospital London.“I will soon return to Pakistan just after closely taking a review of new city skin report of Begum Kalsoom Nawaz,” he said.

He mentioned whoever is indulged in this perilous plot is guilty of subjecting the country to injustice.

He said, ‘I want to fulfil my national responsibility and will visit Pakistan as soon as Kulsoom’s condition gets better”.

AC To Announce Avenfield Reference Verdict on July 6:

The accountability Court hearing corruption references filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his family members reserved verdict of Avenfield Reference case as the judgment will be announced on July 06, Friday.

According to details, the counsel of Maryam Nawaz, Amjad Pervez Malik completed his arguments in Avenfield Reference case.

After the completion of, Amjad Pervez arguments accountability court judge Muhammad Bashir Jummah reserved the judgment and ruled that the verdict will be announced on July 6, Friday.

The corruption references, filed against the Sharifs, pertain to the Al-Azizia Steel Mills and Hill Metal Establishment, offshore companies including Flagship Investment Limited, and Avenfield properties of London.

Nawaz and his sons, Hussain and Hasan, are accused in all three references whereas his daughter Maryam and son-in-law Safdar are accused in the Avenfield reference only.The two brothers, based abroad, have been absconding since the proceedings began last year and were declared proclaimed offenders by the court.

The court originally had a deadline of six months which ended in mid-March but was extended for two months after the judge requested the apex court.Later, the deadline was extended twice more, with the new date falling somewhere around July 10 now.
