Islamabad: Acceptance of Chief Minister post of Punjab by Pakistan Muslim Legue-Quaid (PML-Q) leader Chaudhry Pervez Elahi has increased difficulties for opposition parties.
In this scenario, co-chairman of Pakistan People Party (PPP) Asif Ali Zardari has contacted PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujat Hussain on telephone.
The decision of Pervez Elahi to become chief minister Punjab with alliance with the ruling PTI, and existing political situation of the country were deliberated upon in the telephonic conversation.
It is likely that the PML-Q chief and co-chairman of PPP will meet soon.
Sources said that Asif Zardari and other political parties remained in touch with Shujat Hussain until late night on Monday.
It is also likely that more opposition parties will call on the PML-Q chief.
