KARACHI: The police have fired tear gas and baton charged protesting teachers on Thursday who came from Interior Sindh to protest in favour of their demand.
According to details, when the teachers were trying to enter in the Red Zone to reach chief minister house the police fired them with tear gas and baton charge to disperse them that caused the injuries of several demonstrations.
The heavy contingency of the police halted the protesters at the road leading to Arts Council, however despite police warning when teachers tried to enter the Red Zone police used the tear gas to disperse them.
Later, Commissioner Karachi and secretary education met with the teachers and assured them to address their demands, however, teachers refused their oral assurance and remain on roads.
