ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira, talking to media before Accountability Court, has expressed anger over deployed police officials’ action of halting lawyers from entering courts’ parameters.
Various PPP stalwarts have gathered around the AC Islamabad over the appearance of party chairman Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur in Fake Bank Accounts and Mega Money Laundering case.
While addressing media, Qamar Zaman mocked that five thousand officials have been deployed for merely five people.
“If lawyers will be restrained from entering the court then who will deal with the cases? What will happen to this scared government if we give a call of jalsa?”, Qamar Zaman said in rhetoric fashion.
Earlier, former president Asif Zardari’s counsel Farooq Hamid Naik and Latif Khosa were prohibited by the deployed officials to enter their cars through entrance door of the Accountability Court.
On this occasion, Latif Khosa was quoted saying, “I have not seen such an incompetent government. Despite being such a senior lawyer, I have been directed to halt so far back”.
