CHAMAN: Polio drive, which was temporarily halted in Chaman after a female polio worker was killed in a firing incident in the city, has resumed.
Deputy Commissioner Chaman has assured of providing top-notch security measures to polio teams so that the drive can continue across the region.
On Thursday evening, a heart-rending scenario surfaced in Quetta where unknown armed men shot and killed one female polio worker, injuring another.
According to Assistant Commissioner Chaman, the gunmen attacked the polio team in Sultanzai area of Chaman while it was busy in line of duty.
The martyred female was identified as Bibi Rashida and the injured one as Rashia Bibi, he added.
