Polio Vaccination Made Mandatory, Passengers Traveling from Pakistan to Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD: The Saudi Arabian Civil Aviation Authority (GACA) has declared polio vaccination compulsory for travelers.

According to the Saudi Civil Aviation Authority, passengers from Pakistan, Afghanistan, Kenya, Congo, and Mozambique will be required to have a polio vaccination certificate.

The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority has stated that travelers from the mentioned countries who do not leave the transit area within 12 hours will be exempt from this requirement.

The authority further emphasized that all passengers entering Saudi Arabia must carry a polio vaccination certificate upon arrival. The certificate should be at least four weeks old, and any certificate older than six months will not be accepted.

The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority has informed all airlines through a NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) and warned that legal action and severe penalties will be imposed for non-compliance with these instructions.
