Washington (November 07, 2018): Polling of Midterm elections has concluded in several states of the United States Of America as Democrats look all set to take House.

U.S. Congressional Elections showed great contest between the two contestants with Democrats picking up 202 seats in the House of Representatives, and Republicans picking up 185 seats in the Senate, as one of the most bitterly fought midterm elections in years.

The elections – for all 435 seats in the House and 35 of the Senate’s 100 seats – were also widely seen as a referendum on Donald Trump’s presidency.

Currently, Republicans control the Senate 51 seats to 42 seats for the Democrats.Predictions from U.S. news media, several state election departments, and political experts said that the Democrats would take at least 10 seats in the House from Republicans, and Republicans would take at least two seats from Democrats.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has been re-elected for a third term to the U.S. Senate without breaking a sweat. The Associated Press called the race for him at 7:00 p.m. sharp, the moment polls closed.Sanders, a self-described democratic socialist from Burlington, faced Republican real estate agent Lawrence Zupan of Manchester, as well as seven other candidates, in a race that never quite took off.

At a Vermont Democratic Party gathering at the Burlington Hilton, Sanders told an enthusiastic crowd, “Being a United States senator from Vermont has been the honour of my life.”
