New Delhi: Actor and model Poonam Pandey was all over the headlines as news of her sudden death stunned everyone but it turns out to be a publicity stunt.
Poonam Pandey passed away at the age of 32 due to cervical cancer. On Friday, Poonam’s official Instagram account posted an update announcing the actor-model’s death. The news was confirmed from her media manager.
Poonam took to social platform and revealed faking her death to increase conversation around cervical cancer – a life threatening illness caused by the sexually transmitted human papillomavirus (HPV).
The 32-year-old “NASHA” star shared a clip on Instagram, apologized to internet users and her fans for spreading fake news. Poonam Pandey said she felt sorry for those who were hurt from the news. “Yes, I faked my death. Extreme, I know. But suddenly we all are talking about cervical cancer, aren’t we?” she said.
