Postmortem of Orangi quadruple murder victims yet to be performed

Karachi (May 13, 2017): Postmortem of victims of Orangi town quadruple murder has not yet been performed despite the passage of many hours after the gruesome incident.

It is to be mentioned here that a man brutally killed his wife, two children and brother-in-law over a domestic dispute in Orangi town.

After the incident, the bodies of the victims were shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. But due to the non-availability of lady Medico-Legal Officer (MLO) at ASH, the bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi.

But there was no lady MLO at Civil Hospital too due to which the postmortem of the bodies could not be performed.

Later the bodies were shifted to Edhi morgue in Sohrab Goth.

Earlier, the man, Mannan Bangali, killed his wife, children and brother-in-law with deadly blows of an iron rod in Karachi’s Orangi Town area.

The deceased woman, Rabia, was his second wife, while his first wife had died. The husband and wife would often quarrel over domestic issues.

Mannan, in his confessional statement, claimed that Rabia had attacked him with the rod, which raged him and he killed her, their two children and his brother-in-law.

The suspect was also injured during the episode.
