ISLAMABAD: With the rising water level in Tarbela, hydropower generation has improved, a WAPDA spokesman said, adding that hydropower generation will increase further in the peak hours, leaving only 593 MW shortfall. WAPDA spokesperson said that with the rising water level in Tarbela, hydropower generation has started to improve and after the commencement of power generation from two more units of Hydel Power Station, power supply from Tarbela to the national grid has increased to 672 MW. Increased, hydropower generation during pack hours will reach about 6,000 MW. On the other hand, the spokesman of the power division said that this morning the power shortfall in the country was only five hundred and ninety three megawatts.
