WASHINGTON: United States State Department Spokesperson John Kirby said that powers will be transferred peacefully to president-elect Donald Trump on January 20, 2017.
While addressing the daily press briefing, Kirby said that a team of Donald Trump had arrived in White House in connection with transition of powers. He said that Donald Trump and his team will become the part of White House after January 20.
Kirby said that Obama management will carry on implementation on nuclear deal with Iran but he did not know about Trump policy on the deal.
While talking about Syria, John Kirby said that Russian and Syrian forces targeting hospitals in Aleppo city. He said that US Secretary of State John Kerry telephoned his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov and discussed about Aleppo.
