Karachi: A first meeting of parties who got major seats in Karachi local government results was held today between ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Jamat-e-Islami (JI).
The PPP delegation provincial ministers Saeed Ghani and Imtiaz Shiekh visited the JI Karachi headquarter Idara Nore Haq today.
During the meeting between two stakeholders of the metropolis after the LG elections, they discussed mayorship of the city and the mayorship of towns.
The JI Karachi Chapter chief Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman said the matters will only be forwarded after addressing our reservations by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah who on yesterday in his telephonic conversations with Hafiz Naeem Ur Rehman had ensured that the JI reservations will be removed.

Talking at the occasion, the provincial minister Saeed Ghani said that the JI has won a large number of seats and we wanted to work together with the JI for Karachi.
Saeed Ghani also said that whatever decision will be given by the ECP will be acceptable to the PPP regarding the JI reservations of six UC seats.
