Rawalpindi: Pakistan People’s Party held 16th convention of Jammu & Kashmir at Rawalpindi press club. Sardar Hasan Ibrahim was elected once again as president of Jammu & Kashmir PPP by getting 119 votes.
The 16th convention of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Party was held in the Rawalpindi Press Club. After the convention, the polling for the election of the new leadership for the next two-year period ended. Sardar Hasan Ibrahim was once again elected the president of Jammu Kashmir People’s Party by getting 119 votes, Aftab Alam Khan was elected as the general secretary of Jammu Kashmir People’s Party by getting 78 votes, Yasir Altaf Advocate was elected as the chief organizer of the party by getting 90 votes. The Chief Election Commission of the intra-party election administered the oath to the newly elected officials. Out of 207 votes of the general council in the elections, 147 votes were cast and 5 votes were rejected
