KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party has issued a show cause notice to Senator Bahramand Tangi regarding the resolution of postpone the election in the Senate.
As per detail, Pakistan People’s Party has issued a show cause notice to the Senator Behramand upon the resolution of postpone the election in the Senate, show cause notice stated that he violated the instructions of the party leadership and the party policy , explain why he supported the resolution and also gave a speech in support?
Earlier, People’s Party leader Sherry Rehman explained that PPP did not support the resolution in the Senate. she also announced to seek an explanation from Bahramand, a member of the People’s Party present in the house at the time of resolution.
It should be noted that the Upper House (Senate) passed the resolution to postpone the general elections to be held on February 8 in the country by majority vote. In the senate meeting chaired by Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, 14 members were present in the House at the time of approval of the resolution. Independent senator from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dilawar Khan presented the resolution to postpone the election.
PTI Senator Gurdeep Singh and PPP member Bahramand Tangi remained silent, Muslim League-N member Afnanullah opposed the resolution.
