NAUSHEHRO FEROZE: The residence of Zulfiqar Ali, a Member of the National Assembly from Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), was subjected to a violent robbery in Sindh’s Naushehro Feroze district, during which his family was held inside for several hours.
Zulfiqar Ali explained that four armed intruders forcefully entered his home late at night by breaking through the boundary wall. The assailants kept his family confined from approximately 2:30 am until 5 am while they ransacked the property.
The robbers managed to steal jewelry, cash, and other valuables before fleeing the scene. They also made off with a vehicle, which was later discovered abandoned near Moro bypass. Ali mentioned that some of the robbers’ accomplices remained outside the house during the incident, acting as lookouts.The lawmaker emphasized that the attack was purely a criminal act and clarified that he holds no personal grudge against anyone.
He further stated that officials including Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Sindh Home Minister Ziaul Hasan Lanjhar, and the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) have contacted him via phone to gather details about the incident. Authorities have launched an investigation and are actively searching for the suspects involved.
