Karachi: As per the non-final results issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) , Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has won five seats, Jamat-e-Islami four seats while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) begged one seat in the by elections on 11 Local bodies seats.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has won five union councils of Karachi in the by-elections on 11 seats of local bodies.
The ruling PPP has won in the south union council- 2 Layri by securing 3243 votes while it also remained victorious in Korangi district union council-2 by getting 2647 votes.
In west, the PPP candidate has won union counci-2 Baldiya by securing 3009 votes while it also won the by-elections at union council-8 Baldiya.
The PPP also won UC-8 Mominabad in West district by securing 2,805 votes.
PPP’s Shahzeb Murtaza secured 5,558 votes to win LG by-polls in UC-13 New Karachi of Central District. In UC-6 North Nazimabad – Central District, JI candidate Faisal Nadeem secured 4,055 votes to win the LG by-polls.
A whole panel of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) has won by-elections on district central union council-6 North Nazimabad by securing 4055 votes as per unconfirmed and unofficial results.
On the other hand the PPP panel got 1169 votes.
The JI candidate Faisal Naseem won union council- 6 North Nazimabad by securing 2500 votes while the PPP candidate Hamid Shahid got 1169 votes and appeared on second position.
The JI has also won UC-8 Landhi in district Korangi as its candidate Ayub Abbassi secured 1695 votes while the PTI candidate Asim Khan got 826 votes.
JI candidate was declared the winner in UC-2 Orangi Town and another JI candidate won the LG by-polls in UC-2 Shah Faisal Town.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Shakeel Ahmed secured 2,925 votes and won the LG by-polls in UC-1 Orangi.
