Islamabad: President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi has written a letter to Prime Minister Imran Khan and the opposition leader in National Assembly (NA) Shahbaz Sharif for an appointment of an interim premier.
The President in his letter to the PM and the Opposition leader in NA has asked to send names of the caretaker prime minister.

It is pertinent to mention here that the appointment of interim premier is made with the consultation between the PM and the Opposition leader.
