President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif felicitates nation on 27th Anniversary of Pakistan’s Nuclear Power Status

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan is celebrating YOUM E TAKBEER with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor across the country. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended their congratulations to the nation, highlighting Pakistan’s nuclear capabilities and sovereignty in their messages.

President Asif Ali Zardari conveyed heartfelt congratulations to the nation on Yaum-e-Takbeer. He emphasized that on this day, Pakistan demonstrated its nuclear strength and strategic defense capabilities.

He paid tribute to scientists, engineers, civilian, and military leadership, recalling the late Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s resolve that laid the foundation of the nuclear program.

The President stated that, nuclear power is not merely technological advancement but a wise decision to maintain peace, and that Pakistan’s nuclear capability is a guarantor of its sovereignty and security.

PRIME MINISTER SHEHBAZ SHARIF

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif congratulated the nation on Yaum-e-Takbeer and called it a significant and historic occasion. He mentioned that, with Allah’s grace, Pakistan has become the seventh nuclear power in the world over the past 27 years.

Highlighting the recent military successes, he said that, Pakistan successfully defended itself during attacks from the enemy between May 6 and 10, emerging victorious. The Prime Minister praised Pakistan’s courage in facing India’s aggression and called it a symbol of victory.

He urged the nation to offer gratitude and prayers, expressing pride in Pakistan’s achievements. The Prime Minister also acknowledged the sacrifices made by the nation, noting that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif played a key role in developing Pakistan’s nuclear capability through six explosions.

He emphasized that, Pakistan’s borders are now invincible, with the echo of “Allahu Akbar” still resonating from the Chagai hills. He extended his congratulations to the entire nation, especially the armed forces and scientists, for their contributions to Pakistan’s nuclear program and defense.
