ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended heartfelt New Year greetings to the people of Pakistan, the overseas Pakistani community, and the international audience.
In their messages, they prayed for peace, stability, and prosperity across the country. Both leaders emphasized the importance of maintaining national unity and resilience, recalling the solidarity shown in May 2025 during the conflict with India.
They reaffirmed Pakistan’s dedication to fostering peace at regional and global levels and expressed support for the oppressed populations of Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
President Zardari, in his message, highlighted his readiness to lead efforts toward national reconciliation, emphasizing the importance of unity as a symbol of the federation’s strength.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif pledged to persist with the ongoing economic reforms, which have helped steer the country’s economy toward a positive path. He also paid tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in terrorist attacks and the ongoing conflict with India, recognizing their sacrifices for the homeland.
