President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan in their separate messages on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha have said that without spirit of sacrifice, a nation cannot aspire to achieve goal of development.
President Dr. Arif Alvi urged the people to continue raising their guard against the fourth wave of coronavirus by strictly observing all standard operating procedures to contain its further spread.

He stressed upon prolonging these efforts to overcome the fourth Delta variant wave.
The President said the Prime Minister had made the decision against complete lockdown and by taking care of the livelihood of the poor segments of society.
The Prime Minister Imran Khan in his message said it was the passion which helped the Pakistani nation to save itself from the global coronavirus pandemic with wisdom, national strategy and patience.
The Prime Minister said that economic situation with which the country was confronted, has been changing now and the economy has now been put on the right track.
He said through different schemes launched by his government, the people are being provided with relief.
Imran Khan said the day is not far, when Pakistan would be standing equally in the ranks of developed countries.
Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser and Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri have also extended their warm felicitations to Muslim Ummah and the fellow countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
In their separate messages, they said this Eid reminds us the sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim A.S. and his son Hazrat Ismail A.S. to follow Allah’s orders.
They said this event also reminds us of the sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people for their freedom from India.

On the other hand, President Dr. Arif Alvi offered Eid-ul-Azha prayer at the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad on Wednesday with complete observance of coronavirus standard operating procedures.
National Assembly Deputy Speaker Qasim Suri and other parliamentarians also offered prayer at the mosque.
Later, the president prayed for the progress, prosperity and welfare of the country and the Muslim Ummah.
