ISLAMABAD: President House regarded as Aiwan-e-Sadar has issued details regarding austerity drive it adopted on the instructions of President Arif Alvi.
According to the details issued by the Aiwan-e-Sadar, it saved Rs 204 Million under the austerity drive initiated on the orders of President Arif Alvi.
The President house returned back 80 per cent of the amount under discretionary powers while a decline of 6.1 per cent expenditures reported in the current fiscal year with respect to the previous year.
Pakistan Air force routine flights were used for security personnel of the president house while President Arif Alvi used commercial flights for visiting foreign countries while national exchequer got the benefit of Rs 112.7 million from using commercial flights.
President house opened its doors for major programs of ministries and resulted in savings of Rs 10 million while officials travelling with the Presidents abroad reduced 36 to 16.
