Islamabad: President Dr Arif Alvi on Wednesday called Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja today or tomorrow to fix date of general elections.
The President has penned down a letter to the CEC Sikandar Sultan Raja.
As per the content of the letter, President dissolved the National Assembly (NA) on August 9 this year on the advice of the Prime Minister.
President bound to fix date of general election as per the article 48 (5) with in 90 days since dissolvement of the NA, the letter reads.
