ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif have jointly expressed their condolences over the tragic floods and mudslides in northern Nepal near the Tibet border, which resulted in numerous casualties and widespread destruction.
In a message shared on X, President Zardari extended sympathies to the families affected and reaffirmed Pakistan’s support and solidarity with the Nepali people and government during this difficult time.
Similarly, Prime Minister Sharif conveyed his grief over the devastating floods and landslides in Nepal’s Rasuwa District and surrounding regions, emphasizing Pakistan’s commitment to stand with Nepal in this period of distress.
Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar also voiced his deepest sadness regarding the calamity in both China and Nepal, where lives have been lost and many remain unaccounted for.
On his X account, Dar affirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Chinese and Nepali nations and pledged to provide all necessary assistance to help cope with the aftermath of these natural disasters. He also praised the resilience and dedication of rescue teams working tirelessly under challenging conditions and offered heartfelt condolences to the grieving families.
