ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has extended his warm congratulations to Nepal’s Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and its leader, Balendra Shah, on achieving a historic electoral milestone. In a statement, he highlighted the significant participation of young voters in the electoral process, viewing it as an inspiring sign of regional aspirations for transparent governance and meaningful reforms.
The President reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to enhancing bilateral ties, emphasizing the importance of mutual respect, goodwill, and shared interests in deepening cooperation.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also congratulated the RSP on its impressive electoral success in Nepal’s 2026 elections. Through a message on his X account, he expressed that the electoral victory demonstrates the Nepali people’s confidence in their fresh and vibrant leadership.
He further conveyed Pakistan’s eagerness to collaborate closely with Nepal’s newly elected government to bolster the historic friendship and partnership between the two nations.
