ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued on Saturday messages to the nation, extending their heartfelt greetings for the blessed month of Ramadan.
According to details, in his message, President Asif Ali Zardari congratulated the Muslim world on the commencement of Ramadan, stating that the month teaches lessons of patience, resilience, empathy, equality and unity.
He urged people to help the poor and needy during this time, promoting the spirit of sacrifice and charity. Zardari also emphasised that Ramadan serves as a reminder to feel the suffering of the underprivileged and called for increased charity and support for the less fortunate.
He appealed to the nation to extend their generosity beyond their means, hoping that this month would bring peace, stability, and progress to Pakistan.
PM Shehbaz also shared his message, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to witness another Ramadan.
