President, PM reaffirm Pakistan’s support for Palestinians

ISLAMABAD: The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People is being observed today. On this occasion, President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to standing in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

The President emphasized that Pakistan’s support for the Palestinian cause is deeply rooted in shared universal values of human dignity, justice, and fairness.

He highlighted Pakistan’s consistent condemnation of the atrocities committed by Israeli occupying forces in Gaza and its unwavering advocacy for the Palestinian cause at all international platforms.

He reaffirmed that Pakistan remains committed to providing every possible political, diplomatic, humanitarian, and moral support to its Palestinian brothers and sisters.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the immense suffering endured by the Palestinian people, calling it one of the most significant tragedies of modern history. He praised their unwavering resilience, portraying it as a remarkable demonstration of the human spirit’s strength in striving for justice and lofty principles.

Additionally, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s steadfast support for a fair, lasting, and inclusive resolution to the Palestinian conflict, aligned with pertinent UN Security Council and General Assembly resolutions. He conveyed solidarity with the Palestinians in their legitimate fight for liberty, dignity, and peace, while paying tribute to their enduring resolve and courage.
