DUBAI: President Asif Ali Zardari met with UAE Vice President and Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to discuss furthering bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UAE.
The meeting, also attended by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, centered on increasing trade, investment, and economic cooperation. Both leaders explored ways to utilize Dubai’s successful development strategies for mutual advantage.
Zardari invited Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid to visit Pakistan, highlighting opportunities for collaboration in ports, logistics, and the IT sector.
He also provided an update on Pakistan’s ongoing reforms and privatization initiatives. The UAE reaffirmed its unwavering support for Pakistan’s economic progress and appreciated the vital role of the Pakistani diaspora in the UAE.
