Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif completes his two-days visit to Tajikistan

DUSHANBE: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has concluded his two-day visit and departed from Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, to return to Pakistan.

At Dushanbe Airport, Tajik Deputy Prime Minister Hokim Kholiqzoda bid farewell to the Prime Minister. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister, Syed Tarek Fatemi, were also accompanying the Prime Minister.

During his two-day visit to Tajikistan, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a bilateral meeting with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon.

In the meeting, the Prime Minister discussed various fields of cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan. He also expressed gratitude to the Tajik President for Tajikistan’s full support to Pakistan amid recent tensions between India and Pakistan in the South Asian region.

Additionally, during this visit, Prime Minister Sharif participated in a high-level international conference held in Dushanbe on the protection of glaciers. At the conference, he briefed the attendees on the impacts of climate change on Pakistan and reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to environmental protection and glacier conservation.
