Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore:  Press Briefing

MUZAFFARABAD: The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Faisal Mumtaz Rathore hold a press talk and apprised overall the situation of the Kashmir.

He said while talking to media that over the past several months, the Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK) has adopted a visibly proactive and accountable approach to governance, placing public welfare at the center of state policy. Rather than limiting itself to policy declarations, the government has emphasized execution, rapid relief for affected citizens, and expanded access to essential public services.

Significant progress has been recorded in priority sectors such as healthcare, education, employment generation, electricity, water supply, transportation, and urban services. Measures including prompt financial compensation, allocation of government employment to affected families, easing of tax and inflationary pressures, institutional reforms, and large-scale infrastructure investment have contributed to restoring public confidence.

This governance model signals a shift toward outcome-driven, citizen-focused policymaking that values social stability and long-term public interest over short-lived narratives. The administration’s focus on service delivery and measurable improvements reflects its stated commitment to standing alongside the people and responding decisively to their concerns.

Reaffirming its people-first policy framework, the Government of Azad Jammu & Kashmir has ensured immediate relief, compensation, and employment opportunities for families impacted by recent events, in line with agreed frameworks.

A succession of policy decisions across critical sectors including health, education, water resources, road infrastructure, and power supply highlights the government’s focus on performance-based governance and practical solutions to public needs.
