Web Desk: Prince Rahim Aga Khan V has been named the 50th Imam of the Ismaili Muslim community following the passing of Mawlana Shah Karim Aga Khan IV.
The announcement was made in Lisbon, where the late Imam’s will was read in the presence of family and senior community leaders.
Prince Rahim, born on October 12, 1971, is the eldest son of the late Aga Khan IV and has served on various boards under the Aga Khan Development Network.
His leadership comes at a time when the Ismaili community looks forward to new guidance.
