RAHIM YAR KHAN: The Principal and Vice-Principal of Government Khwaja Fareed Graduate College in Rahim Yar Khan have been removed from their positions.
A musical night was organized on February 27 in honor of the new principal, during which videos of female students dancing went viral.
Following the viral videos of the students dancing, the Higher Education Department took action. The Secretary of Higher Education directed the removal of Professor Jameel Khan, Principal of Government Khwaja Fareed College, and Vice-Principal Arshad Baig, and ordered them to report to Lahore.
An investigation committee has also been formed to look into the matter.
Meanwhile, the Director of Public Instruction Colleges Punjab, in a letter to the Director of Colleges Lahore Division, stated that teachers and students were found dancing during events like fun fairs, sports days, and other extracurricular activities. He emphasized that such activities have no place in educational institutions.
