KARACHI: Women members of Sindh Assembly (SA) belonging to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have submitted a privilege motion in the SA over derogatory remarks of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA, Haleem Adil Shiekh against Faryal Talpur and other members outside election commission office
Presenting the privilege motion, the PPP MPA, Heer Sohu along with other women members said that Haleem Adil Shiekh used derogatory words against the women MPAs of the PPP and demanded his apology over the matter.
When an MPA of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) Nusrat Sehar Abbassi intervened, then Heer Sohu declared her ‘bill baturi’ “a character from the most famous children play back in the 1990s which was of a witch” and the session turned like a fish market.
The privilege motion latter sent to the select committee after uproar and debate over the issue while the PTI members refused to attend the committee.
Provincial Minister Nasir Hussain Shah revealed in his written reply over a question regarding forest department that the board of revenue allotted 78,000 acres of land illegally which was found through checking record.
The Sindh Assembly session adjourned till 12 pm.
