PSL3: Akmal’s Ton Helps Zalmi to Book Place in Play-off

Sharjah (March 16, 2018): The whirlwind innings of Kamran Akmal has helped Peshawar Zalmi to book place in play-ff round of Pakistan Super League in Sharjah on Friday. 

In replying to a big total of 174, Kamran Akmals’ sensational and head-spinning batting totally destroyed the Qalandars bowling and his team achieved the target after losing only three wickets while two overs to spare.The match was become the do or die for Peshawar as in case of defeat they can face exit, however master inning holder in previous match Kamran Akmal was in splendid form and he created history of PSL 2018 by making maiden hundred.

Hasan Ali gave Peshawar their first breakthrough when he dismissed opener Fakhar Zaman for 6.

Skipper Brendon McCullum failed to fire, with Sameen Gul knocking off his stumps for 7. Wahab Riaz dismissed promising Agha Salman for 28 off 25 balls.

Hasan Ali took 2 wickets for 24, while Wahab Riaz and Sameen Gul took one each.Qalandars Win Toss, Opt to Bat First Against ZalmisEarlier, Lahore Qalandars won the toss against Peshawar Zalmi and elected to bat first.
