ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued a notice regarding the upcoming scheduled maintenance of its Device Identification Registration & Blocking System (DIRBS). The system will be offline from Saturday night, December 6, to Sunday evening, December 7, 2025.
According to PTA, the downtime is necessary for maintenance work being carried out in coordination with the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The system’s unavailability will begin at 10:00 PM on December 6 and is expected to resume operation by late evening on December 7.
The authority has advised users who need to register new devices to complete their registration before the scheduled maintenance window. PTA also expressed appreciation for the public’s patience and understanding during this temporary service interruption.
