PTI announces to challenge PHC verdict in SC for reserved seats.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has announced to challenge Peshawar High Court (PHC) verdict regarding reserved seats in the top court.

Chairman PTI’s Barrister Gohar has said that they will request apex court to form a larger bench on reserved seats matter.

He further said that a rally will be held in Islamabad on March 23 and the venue will be announced tomorrow. The PTI chairman also alleged that attempts were being made to defeat the winning candidates of PTI through the recounting of votes.

The Peshawar High Court (PHC) today dismissed petitions of the Sunni Ittehad Council (SIC) over reserved seats in assemblies.

A five-member bench of the high court given unanimous decision on the petition as Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim read the reserved verdict.

Speaking to the media, he underlined the urgency of the matter, urging the Supreme Court to expedite the hearing by forming a larger bench.

Furthermore, Barrister Gohar disclosed that he, along with four other lawyers, met with the founder of PTI to discuss the recent developments in the PHC and the upcoming Senate elections in KP.

He assured that the PTI founder’s health is stable, and emphasized the importance of the upcoming rally in Peshawar on March 23.
