ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf apologized to the Election Commission for calling it bias while hearing party funding case after which the EC tribunal headed by Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sardar Raza ordering PTI to submit its apology in writing and file an application to withdraw the submission adjourned the hearing till January 24.
During the hearing of the said case today the reply filed on behalf of PTI chairman Imran Khan asking suspending the EC’s decision and also called EC biased. The submission said that Islamabad High Court has given a stay order over the EC’s decision till February 13 and thus the hearing of the case should be adjourned indefinitely.
Expressing anger over this the CEC asked whether the EC should stop working, you alone are enough to spread bias, we damn care about politics, what do we have to do with politics? If you think, the CEC continuing said, that if you play politics with things like this we are giving you a warning hereby, the party funding case is pending for two-and-half years, just who does it benefits, he asked.
Apologizing to the EC counsel of PTI Saqlain Haider plead it to withdraw Imran’s reply to which the EC ordering PTI to submit the written apology and file an application to withdraw the submission adjourned the hearing till January 24.
