KARACHI: Amjadullah Khan, a member of MQM’s central executive committee (CEC), who had joined MQM in a dramatic turns events on the even of NA-245 by-elections, wherein he was a PTI candidate, announced to quit MQM.
Amjadullah was PTI candidate in the by-election on NA-245 held in April this year. However, in an interesting turn of events, hours before the NA-245 by-polls, Khan announced to withdraw in favour of MQM candidate and join MQM. The event has been a great embarrassment for PTI leadership.
After his joining of MQM, he was made a member of party’s Central Executive Committee. However, on Monday he announced to quit MQM.
He said that he had joined MQM due to its founder.
It is to be mentioned here that last night MQM founder Altaf Hussain reportedly announced to withdraw from the leadership of MQM and handed over the party to MQM-London’s senior leader Nadeem Nusrat.
