ISLAMABAD: The ruling Party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has gain majority in the Cantonment Boards’ polls as so far it has got 62 seats out of as per the unofficial results of 195 wards out of 219 total.
Independent candidates have got 49 seats, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz is third on the list with 52 seats followed by the Pakistan People’s Party with 13 seats and Muttahida Qaumi Movement- Pakistan with 10 seas.
The voting process started at 8 am and continued till 5 pm without any break.
Strict security measures were put in place to avoid any untoward incident.
