PTI Leading With 119 Seats In National Assembly: ECP

Islamabad (July 27, 2018): Election Commission of Pakistan has released results of 260 constituencies of NA, Punjab’s 289, Sindh’s 118, KP’s 95 and Balochistan’ 45 constituencies so far.

According to the details released by ECP, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is leading in National Assembly with 119 seats, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, 63, Pakistan Peoples Party, 42, Independent Candidates 12, Muthaida Majlis-e-Amal, 10, Pakistan Muslim League-Q, 05, Muthaida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan, 6, Grand Democratic Alliance, 2 and Awami Muslim League, Awami National Party 02, , Balochistan National Party 02, and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaniat secured one seat.

In Punjab Assembly, PML-N secured 127 seats, while PTI is following with 118 seats. Meanwhile, independent candidates secured 27 seats of the Punjab Assembly.In Sindh Assembly, Pakistan Peoples Party(PPP) is leading with 72 seats, PTI, 20, MQM, 12 and GDA secured 11 seats.In KP Assembly, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf is leading with 66 seats, MMA, 10, ANP, 6 and PML-N managed to bag 5 seats.In Balochistan Assembly, Balochistan Awami Party(BAP) secured 13 seats, MMA, 8 and Balochistan National Party (BNP) managed to get 5 seats.Bushra Imran Felicitates Nation On PTI’s Victory

Bushra Bibi, the wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief, Imran Khan congratulated the nation for choosing a leader, who is committed to work for the welfare of the common man.

Expressing her heartfelt joy over the victory of PTI in the general election, Bushra Bibi said Allah Almighty had given the nation a leader who takes care of the rights of the people.

Greeting the widows, the poor and orphans, she said that PTI chief would also safeguard the lives of the citizens of Pakistan.

Earlier, PTI Chairman Imran Khan addressing the nation on Thursday said that the victory came after the hard struggle of 22 years and numerous sacrifices.

He hailed the Balochistan people for casting their votes despite bloody blasts and dangerous situation.

Commenting on the personal attack on him, he said that he has forgotten such kind of allegations and will ready to bring along every opponent.”

He vowed that he would make the state institutions strong and independent so that they could work without any influence.“I want to clarify why I entered politics. Politics could not have given me anything. I wanted Pakistan to become the country that my leader Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah had dreamed of.”

“I want to commend the people of Balochistan. The type of terrorism and tragedy they have suffered from, and they still came out to vote, I want to commend them on behalf of the entire country,” he said.

“Many people have made sacrifices for this election. We want to commend the security forces.”

I want to share the kind of Pakistan I envision ─ the type of state that was established in Madina, where widows and the poor were taken care of,” he explained. “Today our state is in shambles. All our policies aim to help the less fortunate prosper,” he said.

“Farmers are not paid for their hard work, 25 million children are out of school, our women continue to die in childbirth because we can’t give them basic healthcare, we can’t give the people clean drinking water to people. A country is not recognised by the lifestyle of the rich, but by the lifestyle of the poor. No country that has an island of rich people and a sea of poor people can prosper,” he said.Although he claimed to have “suffered the worst kind of personal attacks” that any political leader has had to sustain over the last three years, “this is all behind me now”.

“Our vision is greater than all this.”

“I pledge to safeguard the nation’s taxes. We will decrease all of our expenses,” he promised.

PML N Decides To Sit In Opposition In National Assembly

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) decided to play an active role in the center against Imran Khan-led federal government.

According to details, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) held its executive committee meeting chaired by party president Shahbaz Sharif, in which it was decided that PML-N “would play the role of a strong opposition”.PML-N leadership has decided to sit on the opposition benches in the National Assembly (NA). As far as alleged rigging is concerned in the elections, PML-N has decided to unearth concrete evidence in this regard.

Shahbaz Sharif said they would write congratulation letters to the winning candidates and appreciation letters to the losing candidates.The PML-N president said they would raise a strong voice against the alleged poll rigging, adding that the party would “also provide available evidence of the rigging to the Election Commission of Pakistan”.

PML-N president Shehbaz Sharif wants to play the role of a strong opposition.

The PML-N would write congratulatory letters to its winners and encourage those who were defeated in the fiercely contested election.
