PTI not to attend Special Parliamentary Committee meeting to be held today

Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided not to attend the special parliamentary committee to be held today.

The PTI political committee in its declaration stated that the party has decided to stay away from the Special Parliamentary Committee (SPC) made for the appointment of the Chief Justice of Pakistan.

The PTI declaration also apprised that the meeting has approved action against the party members who voted for the 26th constitutional amendment.

It also said show-cause notices to be issued to theses members while it also agreed that basic party membership will be confiscated and disciplinary action will taken as well.

On the other than talking to a private news channel the PTI chairman Barrister Gohar said that the PTI will not boycott the new committees and names will be sent for representation of the party.
