PTI postpones Lahore rally to Sep 22 owing to Eid Miladun Nabi

LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf postponed Lahore rally to September 22 owing to Eid Miladun Nabi.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf will stage Public gathering in Islamabad on Sep 8, on Friday Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf announced a change in the date of its Lahore rally due to the celebrations of Eid Miladun Nabi.

As per statement released by the PTI core committee, the rally, initially scheduled for an earlier date, will now take place on September 22. The core committee’s announcement emphasized that the observance of 12 Rabi-ul-Awwal, marking the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), will be celebrate with religious fervor.

The special programs will held in Islamabad and other provincial capitals to commemorate the occasion.

Additionally, the statement expressed concerns about the treatment of PTI’s founding chairman by the jail administration and praised his nomination for the Oxford University Chancellor position.

The announcement also detailed that the PTI will hold a rally in Islamabad on September 8, with various committees assigned specific responsibilities.

“It has decided to oppose any bill in the National Assembly that conflicts with the constitution or threatens judicial independence, pledging to challenge such bills in court,” said the statement.

The core committee voiced concerns regarding the recounts in NA-181, NA-154, and NA-79, where the PTI-backed candidates were reportedly defeated.

Meanwhile, the support had directed towards Raees Hassan Mustafa for the NA-171 by-election in Rahim Yar Khan.
