Karachi: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members of Sindh Assembly (MPAs) on Thursday presented a resolution in Sindh assembly against the federal government decision of establishing six new canals at the river Indus.
The PTI parliamentary leader Shabir Qureshi and MPAs Sajjad Soomro, Sajid Hussain, Rehan Bandukda, Wajid Hassan and others presented the resolution in the Sindh Assembly.
They said that the federal government decision will have negative impact on agriculture lands in Sindh and will decrease water further which has been already a grim problem.
The PTI lawmakers in the SA expressed their opinion that lives of farmers of the province will turn in misery with the establishment of six new canals at the river Indus while water scarcity will create for their crops which will impact province economy negatively.
The PTI MPAs rejecting the federal government decision have demanded protection of the Sindh interests.
