PTI reject PM’s invitation for negotiations

ISLAMABAD: Opposition leader in National Assembly Omar Ayub completely rejected Shehbaz Shareef ‘s invitation for negotiations.

Omar Ayub mentioned that the founder of PTI had formed a committee with good intentions, and their clear demands included the release of all PTI workers who had been arrested, and the formation of a judicial commission to investigate the events of May 9 and November 26.

Omar Ayub also stated that they were not allowed to discuss the PICA Act, and that on the PICA Amendment Act, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) had supported them, but after receiving instructions, they acted hypocritically.

PTI leader Shoaikat Yousafzai said that they rejected the government’s renewed offer for negotiations, pointing out that on one hand, there was an offer for talks, and on the other hand, threats were being made. Shoaikat Yousafzai added that PTI was not avoiding negotiations, but rather the government had moved to the backfoot. He further stated that if the government announces a judicial commission, PTI is ready for talks today
