PTI shows dissatisfaction over Court refusal to share JIT Report

Islamabad (May 22, 2017): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf spokesman Fawad Chaudhry on Monday reiterated PTI’s demand for open investigation by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) constituted by the Supreme Court for investigating Sharif family’s business dealings abroad.

Talking to media after the haring of Panama implementation case in Supreme Court, Fawad Chaudhry said that they were disappointed by court refusal to share JIT’s progress report.  He added that Panama was public-interest case and for the sake of transparency investigation by the JIT should be open.

He added that nation wanted to know as what investigation was done so far by the JIT.

He added that the Prime Minister was himself bringing disrepute to the PM’s office.

He said that at the very outset of today’s hearing, the honorable judges made it clear that the investigation has to be completed within the 60 days time-frame and the court will not extend it, which is welcoming.

Chaudhry alleged that an FIA director was involved in defamation campaign against Army and ISI. He flayed the arrest of PTI workers in the garb of anti-Army campaign.

He appealed to Army chief and DG ISI to take notice of it.

On the occasion, PTI leader Naeemul Haq said that the Prime Minister was wandering seeking support to avoid Panama investigation. He questioned senior lawyers Akram Sheikh’s presence in Saudi Arabia along with Prime Minister Nawaz Shairf during his two-day visit.
