Peshawar: An independent woman candidate Meshal Azam Yousufzai supported by the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa won the election on empty city of Senate.
According to unofficial and and non governmental results Meshal Yousufzai secured 86 votes.
On the other hand her opposing candidate Mehtab Zafar supported by the opposition of the KP got 53 votes.
Meshal Azam Yousufzai declared winner of the senate seat vacated after Sania Nishtar resigned from the seat almost more than one year ago.
