PTI To Take Part In By-Elections On 11 Seats Of NA: Asad Qaiser

Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Asad Qaiser has said that his party will take part in the by-elections on 11 seats of the National Assembly (NA).

Former Speaker Asad Qaiser said that they will not leave battle ground empty.

It is pertinent to mention here that existing Speaker NA Raja Pervez Ashraf this week accepted the resignation of the 11, PTI MNAs which they have tendered in the month of April.

In a statement, ex-speaker said that all the MNAs belonging to PTI have tendered their resignations. Former Speaker said that we will not go to the NA after winning the by- elections.

The PTI leader also said that the only solution to leave out the country from all the crisis is of holding the general elections.

Earlier, the NA speaker accepted the resignations of several key PTI leaders, including former human rights minister Shireen Mazari, ex-interior minister Ijaz Ahmed Shah, ex-state minister for parliamentary affairs Ali Muhammad Khan and ex-state minister for information and broadcasting Farrukh Habib, under Article 64 (1) of the Constitution.

The other PTI lawmakers whose resignations have been accepted are Fazal Muhammad Khan, Shaukat Ali, Fakhar Zaman Khan, Jamil Ahmed Khan, Muhammad Akram Cheema, Abdul Shakoor Shad and Shandana Gulzar Khan. Mazari and Shandana were elected on the reserved seats for women from Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, respectively.
